Refunds & cancellation

This page explains how to cancel, what happens to your credits, and when you get your money back. It is part of our terms of service.

Cancelling a subscription

• You can cancel your subscription at any time, from your account or by emailing support@free-alt-text-generator.com.
• Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you've already paid for (a month, quarter or year). After that it won't renew and you won't be charged again.
• We don't give partial refunds for the rest of a period you've already started.
• Credits you already have stay in your account and remain usable after you cancel. You just stop receiving new monthly credits.

One-off credit packs

• One-off pack credits don't expire.
• You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying a pack, as long as you haven't used any of its credits. Email support@free-alt-text-generator.com with the email address of your account.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal (EU)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For digital services that start right away, this right ends once the service has been delivered.

When you buy a plan or a pack, we ask you to confirm that you want to start using your credits straight away and that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once you generate your first image with the credits you bought. In practice:

• Bought, but no credits used yet? You can withdraw within 14 days and get a full refund, for a subscription as well as a pack.
• Already generated with the credits you bought? The right of withdrawal no longer applies. You can still cancel a subscription so it doesn't renew.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email (for example using the form below). You don't have to give a reason. We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving it, using the same payment method you paid with.

Billing mistakes

If you were charged twice or charged by mistake, email support@free-alt-text-generator.com and we'll refund the incorrect charge.

Free images

The daily free images are free, so there is nothing to refund.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment provider, Stripe. Depending on your bank it can take 5–10 business days before you see it. Refunded credits are removed from your account.
